Qingbo Hero
Qingbo Hero (or "Qingbo Haojie" in Yanese) is a common vernacular phrase used by the residents of Qingbo Stockade. The term often refers to pugilists who pursue fighting prowess, uphold a code of honor, and continue the practice of martial traditions.
According to oral accounts given by Stockade residents, their ancestors had lived through the chaos of war. These experiences taught everyone in the Stockade to exercise constant vigilance and preparedness against any potential threat or disaster. When the Stockade was first built, the practice of traditional Yanese martial arts was already part of Stockade culture. Almost all Stockaders, regardless of age or skill, trained in Yanese combat techniques to strengthen their physique and to defend their homes. Those with exceptional talent might also leave the Stockade to roam the lands with the aim of further elevating their fighting abilities.
Ten years ago, numerous Qingbo Stockaders with combat training were involved in a violent confrontation with Wuling City that resulted in casualties for both sides. Since the incident, many Stockaders skilled in fighting either left their homes or retreated into an ennui of defeat. The martial traditions of Qingbo Stockade gradually died out, and the battle arena that the Stockaders once used to identify their best heroes has remained silent until this day.
