Sword Vault Dale
The Sword Vault Dale is a valley located southeast of Qingbo Stockade in the region of Wuling. Rumors say that the place is home to a secret vault containing technological relics from the First Aggeloi War.
This area is often the subject of short fiction and novelettes in Wuling. The popular series titled "Twin Heroes of Yan" chose Sword Vault Dale as the site where the hero buried the sword and retreated into seclusion. Other short stories often depict the vault as a mystic sanctuary filled with numerous weapon blueprints and long-lost technologies. However, the actual conditions of both the Sword Vault Dale and the secret vault were known to only a few. The site also became buried under the Blight following the outbreak of the First Aggeloi War, and almost all writings that mentioned the place were lost in the chaos that followed. Historical records mention how "the Ministry of Rites and Ministry of Works jointly constructed a secret vault at this site", and this was used as a reference by historians from the Hongshan Academy of Sciences to speculate that the dale-bottom vault may contain copies of intricate technologies or heavy machinery that could help explore and develop Talos-II.
The retreat of the Blight Tide has revealed the Sword Vault Dale to our sights once more. Extensive site investigations conducted by a team of explorers revealed that the vault contents were largely precious collections of literature and fine arts produced by the various nations of Terra. Actual data found in the vault named the nation of Yan as the founder of the project and builder of the vault that houses the embers of humanity. Their aim was to create a cultural ark on Talos-II for the imprints of civilization that deserved to be remembered, and to ensure that posterity would not forget the "Road of the Past" taken by their ancestors.
