Xiranite Nexus

The Xiranite Nexus is one of the many experimental Originium devices developed and constructed by the Hongshan Academy of Sciences (HAS) to contain the Wuling Very Large Rift (Wuling VLR). This device is a key achievement of scientific research conducted by the HAS in the Wuling Scientific Developmental District, and it uses sudden emissions of Xiranite energy that react with Æther energy to seal the Rift.

After the large-scale Blight disaster in Talosian Calendar Year 142, the Wuling Scientific Developmental District reported shortages in its Xiranite reserves. Tianshi Zhuang Fangyi led the Novel Xiranite-Based Materials Project, which included Xiranite Nexus development. However, after multiple rounds of iterations that failed to deliver the desired results, the development of Xiranite Nexus was temporarily suspended. The project then shifted its focus to upgrading Xiranite production and constructing the Tianshi Pillar Array instead.

Although Xiranite Nexus development was put on hold, the Tianshi remained hopeful. In Talosian Calendar Year 152, support from Endfield Industries helped alleviate the crisis caused by limited Xiranite production yields. Xiranite Nexus development was then restarted to seek a permanent solution for the threat posed by the Wuling VLR.
