IR: Construction of the Marker Stone
Endministrator, we received the data you have uploaded. We shall sync you with our findings about the Marker Stone.
The Marker Stone is the first, and the largest, Tianshi Pillar ever built. Thanks to SOW data and discourse with Tianshi Zhuang Fangyi, you likely have acquired a basic understanding of its designs, construction, and ability to weaken the Blight. This investigation report (IR) will therefore expand upon the operational mechanics and processes of the Marker Stone and its affiliated facilities.
First, we are certain that the outsider who made these notes was remarkably intelligent. This observant individual keenly identified the feature of the Marker Stone construction project that most warrants investigation: its deep integration with the aquatic environment. The entire Marker Stone and its nearby facilities are actually arranged in a way that resembles a multi-tiered terrace. We can divide this "terrace" into three portions based on the installation's purpose of suppressing the Very Large Rift (VLR): (1) the resistance portion; (2) the buffer portion; and (3) the central processing portion. The "resistance portion" naturally refers to the Marker Stone itself, a gigantic Tianshi Pillar with Xiranite coursing through it. This portion is capable of creating a boundary that contains the Blight. The "buffer portion", as the repair personnel's memo suggests, would be the water stored within the Reservoir Station. The buffer essentially helps to buy Wuling time for activating its emergency measures. If something were to happen to the resistance portion, the affected body of water would be directed to the third portion, namely the central processing portion. This portion has active Xiranite particles scattered within it (which you probably could not observe directly in the Marker Stone area), allowing it to immediately treat Blight-affected water. In addition to the designs of these three portions, the Marker Stone is also furnished with underwater defenses. The Aggeloi of Wuling tend to lurk within water bodies. To prevent the Marker Stone from being damaged, the installation also boasts a comprehensive suite of aquatic defenses (unfortunately, this is also not directly observable from your perspective). A great deal of effort must have been invested to construct this terraced installation. From the data that Hongshan Academy of Sciences (HAS) synced with us, we have learned how the Wulingers prepared for the construction of the Marker Stone in the Year 143. They started by excavating a Blight-breaking belt before moving on to sealing the local aquifers and furnishing the area with underwater defenses to defeat Aggelos attacks. Marker Stone construction was completed with incredible speed.
The construction of the Marker Stone can thus be considered a miracle. The installation itself is a symbol of hope.
