Signs of the Disaster
Records ID: HS-ER082409

Having compiled various findings and records, we can safely categorize Event ER082409 as a super-large-scale Blight event caused by a periodic fluctuation of anomalous intensity in the Blight Tide.
4 hours prior to the Event, the Underground Blight Monitoring Zone has logged an extremely rare and anomalous Depth reading. However, interference by the Blight Tide caused failures in communication facilities and prevented the reading from being uploaded on time. The Waking Bell, which served as the final node of the city's early warning system, also failed to sound the alarm due to internal failures. As a result, many individuals in the city still did not evacuate within minutes of the Event.
A number of researchers identified inexperience and lack of countermeasures on the part of Hongshan Academy of Sciences (HAS), as opposed to the force majeure nature of Event incidence, as key and primary causes that led to the worsening of the disaster as it progressed. Emergency Tianshi Pillar deployment and Blight suppression could not be enacted on a timely manner. These actions missed the golden window of opportunity, allowed the Event to escalate, and culminated in the tragic disaster.
