Yinglung Pass
Yinglung Pass is a massive collection of lockdown facilities constructed by the Hongshan Academy of Sciences (HAS) to deal with the Wuling Very Large Rift (VLR) rupture event. The Pass, once part of the peripheral Blight monitoring facilities of Wuling Science Station, is located atop a natural chasm in the region of Wuling. When first completed, it was named "Wuling Pass". After subsequent overhauls and expansions, and deployment of an Yinglung Special Task Force garrison, the HAS renamed the defense works as "Yinglung Pass".
The main architecture of Yinglung Pass was designed by Tumu Tianshi of the HAS. The Tianshi incorporated Xiranite material technology. To contain VLR growth, the defensive structure was further reinforced with Blight-countering features. All design and construction standards were based on a hypothetical scenario of another VLR rupture event. If necessary, the HAS will further augment the defensive capacities of Yinglung Pass by committing its best emergency response forces and employing Feranmut Power.
For ten years, the YSTF garrison at Yinglung Pass has upheld the duties of monitoring, surveying, and eliminating Blight phenomena within the North Wuling Exclusion Zone (North Wuling EZ). The YSTF is also responsible for enacting rapid response measures against any contingency in the Yinglung Pass area.
As of today, Yinglung Pass has stood vigil at the boundary of the North Wuling EZ for ten years.
