Two hundred catties of meat ... two hundred catties of ballpeas... The problem is where to put it all. The storeroom can't hold any more... Oh! Dear patron, you're here!
Check the goods
Storeroom completely packed?
Wulingers? Here?
Much appreciated.
That's right.
Why are they all mixed together like that?
Then why only fifty percent?
That sounds ... tough.
Heh, still managing to keep things moving. But with all the goods coming and going, there's just too much stuff, getting a bit tight on space.
Talk about Yuanyuan Manor
Exactly! Back when Lady Si painted our Yuanyuan Manor, she probably didn't plan for it to be packed with customers.
Talk about her
Now with guests coming and going, plus traveling merchants and sightseers from inside and outside Wuling City, they're practically wearing down the doorstep.
Leave
Lady Si says she "did it casually". You, honored guest, surely understand what that means.
It's hardly any trouble. The mountains rarely see such life, we're happy to have it. More importantly...
Heh, the most important thing is though Lady Si doesn't show it openly, we can all tell she's happy too.
Me? You've actually stumped me with that one. I just keep busy day in and day out... Oh, I get it now.
Are you trying to learn about who I used to be, or rather, where I come from?
I don't mean to speak in riddles with you, but this starts with "what I am".
I'm three parts a Wuling traveling merchant, two parts a La Fantoma server, and five parts a Luoyi gold carver.
It's a result I asked for myself.
That year, Lady Si slipped away to Luoyi for fun and met a troubled gold carver. She said she'd once harbored great ambitions in her youth, but had wasted half her life...
In the end, even into middle age, she still couldn't put down her engraving knife. A great regret.
She said that if there's any awareness after death, she'd want to become a fin, and float freely in the water from then on.
So Lady Si asked her if she'd be willing to be painted, using a bit of spirit, a bit of memory, to come to Wuling and try living a different way.
The gold carver agreed, and so I came to be.
Heh, I asked Lady Si to help me shed the other fifty percent.
When I was first painted, I was in agony. There was only one question in my mind: if the original still existed, then who was I?
So Lady Si added a few strokes for me. The courage of a traveling merchant, the optimism of a server, mixing them into the gold carver's story...
That spark of spirit became something entirely new, and only then did I truly come into my own self.
Not tough at all. Now I'm "Job Rusher" in the painting. I've been to many places with Lady Si, and I'm more than content.
