IR: Operational Model of the Snowy Forest
Endministrator, we received your data uploads while you were in the Snowy Forest. The following is our analysis.
First, we are certain that the "Operational Model" of the Snowy Forest is a topic worthy of in-depth analyses and investigations. That being said, instead of calling it "Operational Model", "Maintenance Model" or "Design Model" might be more appropriate.
As you can see, the Snowy Forest evidently has an abnormal climate. Similar anomalous environmental pockets have been found across Talos-II. Examples include icefields in the desert or even a small patch of desert in a forest. Such phenomena have various causes. We are still acquiring, integrating, and analyzing various data for the Snowy Forest's formation (we can, with near certainty, cite Originium Arts as the cause, though further data evidence is required). Of course, this deficiency will not affect our analysis of its internal designs and modeling.
The Old Snowpriestess mentioned in the data you uploaded is definitely a genius. From our existing data, the Snowy Forest is located in a rather open area of warmer latitudes. However, the Snowpriestess made clever use of her Originium Arts to influence, or should we say, maintain the current (and anomalous) state of the Snowy Forest. With masses of obfuscating fog and pine trees, she has kept the Forest hidden from outsiders to keep it within a "closed and stable" state. Meanwhile, the maintainers of this system (which is to say, the witchcraft creations) she deployed are intricately designed. Said creations have the advantages of being structurally simple, easy to create, and cheap to maintain, as they are made out of wood, rocks, and mud. The creations themselves have also become an important component of this "closed and stable" state. Think of it this way. A witchcraft creation damaged beyond repair need only rest quietly by a trail, or beneath some snow. It would simply serve as an obstacle obscuring an outsider's field of view and become part of the Snowy Forest's many trails. Visiting outsiders might not even notice the presence of these guardians if they remained in their ideal state. Unfortunately, the absence of management due to the Snowpriestess's departure from the Forest made them increasingly "feral", resulting in their extreme levels of aggression.
A design that incorporates such life-like and natural cycles can only be achieved by one who has truly roamed the wildlands and is in tune with all living beings. We are willing to believe that the Old Snowpriestess is a kind and sensitive soul. Should you meet her face-to-face in the future, please convey to her our most sincere greetings and respect.
