IR: Æther Test Site
Greetings, Endmin. I've received the materials you sent. I'll begin my analysis at once.
The naturally stable rift and the Æther Test Site are the two most mentioned phrases in the materials you recovered. This is rather expected. When we first received the said materials, we initially tried to verify if you had chanced upon classified UWST research documents given the complicated situation you were in. But our suspicions were misplaced. The materials you recovered are quite standard.
A naturally stable rift is located at the Power Plateau of Valley IV. Its presence sparked quite a discussion during the early days of development in Valley IV (the intensity of this discussion, however, did not exceed those pertaining to popular movies screened at the same time). The Valley IV rift is not the first naturally stable rift discovered by humanity, nor is the Æther Test Site the first facility built for the study of rifts (though the UWST constructed it to be larger than it appears from the outside)... When the Æther Test Site was first built, the facility became quite the center of attention. However, the UWST finally chose "Ætherside observations" as the primary focus of research for the Æther Test Site, and I am uncertain if this can be attributed to internal issues of the UWST when it comes to their choices of their scientific research.
I believe you are very well aware that the endeavor might very well be a futile chase. No one has successfully observed the Ætherside itself after all these years... And no one in the HAS nor TGCC would regard projects that attempt to make Ætherside observations seriously, much less set aside funding for them.
Of course, given the current circumstances, this does not make UWST innocent of conducting high risk experiments in the Æther Test Site. Should you discover more clues in your subsequent operations, we shall continue this analysis at the first notice.
