Detached Miscellany
(This miscellany is a record of a Fine Artist's achievements. The power of Si's painting probably made its landscape ink artworks a hiding place of its contents. Those who cannot discern deeper meanings would lose themselves over the shapes and contours.)
The Tianshi generally refers to special casters from the Hongshan Academy of Sciences (HAS) who can perfectly blend Originium Arts into their field of expertise or sector of industry. Examples include Tumu Tianshi (civil engineering), Nongye Tianshi (agriculture), and Mentor Tianshi.
And since the landscape ink paintings of Great Yan is an integral component of Hongshan culture, we have reason to believe that Danqing Tianshi is an actual role of HAS.
What is "Danqing"? It refers to the pigments of cinnabar and cyan, an elegant euphemism of ink painting. Being called an Artist Tianshi is not at all exciting or respectful.
The paintings featured in our gallery, like this one, are works of an unnamed Danqing Tianshi.
The work hardly used any ink and the composition is extremely clever. Most importantly, "flocks of fowls" would fly in and out of the painting everyday. This wondrous Art raked me quite a sizable profit from ticket sales alone. It might even fetch me enough cash to buy a nomadic city plate if I were to sell it at an auction.
Oh, look. It's time. Witness how the "flocks of fowls" return to the painting...
Wait. Why are they perching on your shoulder?
Oh, b-by TALOS! I'm a fool! Master Artist ... Tianshi!
Yes, yes! I did it! I acquired ... I-I mean, I seized it from a poor old man from Hongshan! I was enthralled! I needed to have it! So I hired some muscle to take it from him...
Wh-WHA?! What do you mean? I can be the painting's best friend since I like it so much?
NO! PLEASE! I BEG YOU! I got wife and kids! DON'T TURN ME INTO AN ART FRAME!
NUUUUUHHHH —!!
Details on Tier-One Works of Qihu Painting Competition
Recently, this Committee has received many letters asking about the winning works of the Competition. This Committee thus decided to publish this article on "Qihu Morning News" to inform our curious inquirers and to get in touch with the fine artist who produced the said works.
The Competition was a timed on-site painting event. Works were then submitted to the panel of judges when the time ended. Halfway through the event, however, a Tianshi suddenly barged into the venue, surveyed the event, drew a beauteous landscape on a white wall with a brush-shaped wand, and then left with the same elegance as her arrival.
The white wall turned into a breathtaking vantage of the mountains framed by a dried riverway. The ink was the water that poured into the scene, the master stroke that breathed life into the already fabulous work. This Committee therefore decided to award the 1st Place Reward to the fine artist. However, we must admit to the fact that she could not be located despite our best efforts.
This Committee then ranked the other works and held the award ceremony. A great rain began to fall right after we rewarded the 2nd Place artist. We thus ended the event early to protect the contestants' work.
When the Committee returned to the event venue on the following day, we were initially disheartened to see that the rain had completely washed away the painting on the wall. This quickly gave way to astonishment when we discovered a gentle brook behind the wall and saw the ink painting turned into an actual landscape. We quickly photographed this wondrous phenomenon, receiving intense and positive public response when we posted the pictures online.
That is the general gist of things. Relevant information has been made available to the public.
It remains our sincere hope to get in touch with the 1st place artist so that we may have the chance to converse with this most talented creator.
Have you heard the wondrous tales of Tianshi Cyan and Tianshi Cinnabar?
People say they are a pair of Tianshi with incredible talent. Though sisters of the same family, their personalities could not be further apart. They bickered in every moment of their lives and even swung their fists, blades, and arts at each other just to prove they were right.
If you were to meet the two Tianshi at an intersection, they would "invite" you to arbitrate on the path they should take.
Of course. None of them would treat your words seriously. Whichever way you chose, one of them is guaranteed to join you.
"What's so strange about traveling with a Tianshi?" you might ask.
Truth be told, your journey itself is about to take on a weird twist.
I have walked this trail a few times. But whenever I shared the journey with Tianshi Cyan, the road turned into narrow, meandering trail. The scenery also became far more beauteous, as though I just entered a magical painting created by the Empyreans.
Tianshi Cyan is quite a lovely individual. Though not very talkative, her words are filled with exciting snippets of wisdom. Sharing her company was exceptionally enlightening for the heart and mind.
Alas, upon reaching the next intersection, things would get back to normal.
And when Tianshi Cyan sees Tianshi Cinnabar again, my advice is to seek a place to hide.
Why do that?
I did mention how the siblings are always trying to prove the other wrong.
That means I'd better hide or get hit by stray fireballs hurtling across the skies.
