Etymology of the "Cleansing Pool"

Though I was only born recently, I am confident in my knowledge regarding the secret history of this painted realm. My skills are on-par with those of my senior peers.

Many of my peers and friends link the phrase "Cleansing" to our Lady's special inkstone washing basin. But this is erroneous. The term fails to match the couplet: "Long have I pursued, the arts of brush. Thus create I, the Inkstone Wash."

So what is meant by the word "Cleansing"?

After numerous visits and lengthy conversations with my senior peers, I have arrived at a well-founded guess.

The "Cleansing" was for the waregeist seniors who were first made by our Lady.

We must understand that these early waregeists were very unruly. They rampaged throughout the realm, ignored geistly hygiene, and caused plenty of mischief that really annoyed our Lady.

Now I am sure about this answer because the Cleansing Pool is exactly that. A gigantic bathing pool for the waregeists.
