Old Letter: Undelivered
......
We haven't met for a while, but I'll keep the pleasantries short. You hate reading them, and I hate writing them.
From your last letter, you described Tanjian Hall like it's a kindergarten. You chastised me for ignoring the bigger picture, abandoning a better future, getting myself stuck in Wuling, and accepting my role as a kindergarten principal. I won't even bother shredding your misconceptions.
You learned a few stances of swordmancy from me. You should know better than to assume that teaching children their letters and fighting arts would blunt my edge.
Some of them could barely complete a move at first. Any instructor would be frustrated to see their slices wobble and shake. But as the days went by and wooden swords were replaced by ferrium ones, you'd know the true weight and meaning of "legacy" and "heritage".
......
If you do not believe me, then come to Wuling.
