Apparitions

Entities known as Apparitions have been created using the powers of the Feranmut named "Sui". It is a general term to describe supernatural entities capable of autonomous activities and actions.

Apparitions are not biological organisms by nature. They are created when the power of "Sui" is, whether deliberately or unintentionally, applied to physical objects. There are also many forms of Apparitions. Examples include Ink Spirits created by ink painting, and Waregeists, which are mundane objects and utensils imbued with the powers of "Sui".

Tales and stories involving Apparitions are common in regions under Hongshan Academy of Sciences (HAS) jurisdiction. Most of these tales came from people who accidentally ventured into Si's Painting. They include seemingly normal people or creatures that, upon closer inspection, reveal traces of ink they left behind; and extremely drunk kohl gourds or weapons that "kept rushing around". Sightings outside Si's painting have also been reported, like tea shrubs tainted with ink or passers-by who suddenly disappear while they were asking for directions. Such hearsay has become an interesting topic for everyday conversations with friends and neighbors. Of course, Si herself probably treats this idle chatter, often exaggerated in varying extents, as noisy complaints that disturb her peace.
