Letter: For the Family

I know you're worried, but ... duty calls. This is the largest exclusion zone surveillance operation to date. We have four teams working with us. Don't worry. They spent a really long time planning out every detail, and I don't think it's confidential anymore.

Speaking of which, I haven't been home for three years. Is my baby Amber doing okay? Once this operation ends, I'm going to apply for a few days of leave.

I can't help but feel guilty about my absence ... especially when the times got really hard. I've thought it out already. Once this operation ends, I'll resign from this post...

Youths nowadays grow up fast. Remember Arcane and Summit? They're good enough to hold their own. Nobody could resign because there were so few of us. But now, we're seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Plus, my old wound kinda hates it when I stay at the frontlines.

Remember that previous letter where I said how beautiful Wuling City looks? The Viceroy might be young, but she has everything covered. I'm thinking about getting a house over there so that Amber and you can move in and we can live as a family. It's close enough to Yinglung Pass so I'll get to visit the lads every now and then.

Be patient and wait just a while longer. We'll meet each other soon enough.
