IR: Founding of the City

In truth, the author once regarded "Suiming, a city in Hongshan" as a mere fictional invention when hearing it for the first time. However, after copious amounts of investigative work, the author found out that while "Suiming" may be fictional, written records and stories about the city were largely based on actual cities in various HAS Scientific Developmental Districts.

First-hand information gathered by the author via comparative field investigative work and site visits also revealed that many conflicting claims about Suiming are hidden within the scattered records. One of which would be the origins of the city's founding.

It is obvious that the founding of Suiming was based on the Wuling Science Station. Approval documents for building the site did not register it as a city-scaled habitat but as a small residential facility. However, both Suiming and Wuling Science Station were founded as facilities for Tianshi Pillar research.

Meanwhile, Wuling Science Station is situated at an isolated location close to the Wuling Very Large Rift (VLR), where Blight activities are frequent. The claim that "a Tianshi submitted a city-building application containing a report with extensive information gathered from multiple rounds of site surveillance" actually lacks sufficient data to back it up. The possibility that this claim is either a fabrication or is based on other HAS Scientific Developmental District cities cannot be ruled out.

Nevertheless, as a fictionalized creation primarily based on various facets of HAS Scientific Development District urban culture, "Suiming" offers a showcase of HAS focus on and vigilance against the increasingly frequent Blight incidents. This is highly congruent with their public attitudes and statements in various conventions and seminars. HAS has always held the belief that the Civilization Band cannot afford to be passive, and must actively seek countermeasures and solutions when combating the ever-present and numerous hazards of Talos-II, such as rifts.
