Should I move this sentence up? It might be better if I switched them...
I think you can add a thank you to everyone here.
Um... 'From a simple plate with basic cables to our new Rhodes Island... I'd like to thank you all for your effort and dedication...'
Phew, this is the final draft! No more edits!
Okay, okay! I'll stop poking at it!
It's done, Doctor. Will you be reading it to the entire base?
Should I start the plate-wide livestream?
Um, just a moment, please!
I... I need to review the script one last time!
Seems like all the construction noise outside has stopped.
Yes, the work will be done soon.
Would you like to go out for a walk?
Um... sorry to bother you all! Sir Cromwell and I planted some flowers in the garden, and they're blooming today, so...
I-I could take you to see them, if you like?
What a nice girl... Of course.
Doctor Myrrh, could you help me up?
Sure.
Something off with the production lines? Lemme take a look.
Circuits and settings checked, nothing abnormal.
But an error keeps popping up...
Got it, maybe the connection's a bit iffy.
'Beepy', help us check the connection over there!
I'll take a look too.
(Busy moving to and fro)
(Proactively helping out)
We just need to reset this device here, and...
Alright, no more problems! This time for real!
Phew... Alright, the new goods are all here, so let's stock the shelves!
Wow, where did Procurement even find this stuff? I thought we'd be waiting a long time to get all these snacks and drinks again.
Wow, they've even got nail polish! I haven't done my nails in a long time.
There's also new shampoo and detergents!
All the stuff that makes life worth living!
So when are we getting canteen discount coupons?
Phew, we found these plants on short notice, but it looks almost exactly like the old Convalescent Garden.
Hup! If it'll make everyone happy, I could move plants all day!
The results of the psychological assessments have been either positive or improving. I think we're almost there!
Heave... ho...
We just need those boxes here, and we'll be done!
Wow-wow! Popukar, please lean on my chassis!
Phew...
Popukar leans against THRM-EX, and wipes the sweat off her brow.
Huh? Did you hear that?
Good morning, everyone. Amiya here.
I have something to tell you all on this bright and sunny day.
Before I set foot on the Rhodes Island landship, I had never seen a ship that huge.
I had also never seen so many unrelated people of different races and nationalities living together.
I was still a child then, and I used to wonder from time to time why it had so many run-down areas, broken doors, and exposed wiring.
Most of us there had Oripathy too, and were often in pain.
But still, everyone came together, working hard to improve the ship. And as more and more people joined us, the smiles on our faces only grew wider.
Back then, I wasn't quite sure what kept everyone together.
But after all that time, we had no choice but to leave behind our beloved landship. We had no choice but to rebuild our lives in a brand new place.
I was worried at first. Worried that we would lose our confidence, and then our hope.
But as we've transitioned from a simple plate with basic cables to our new Rhodes Island, as we've transported our disassembled modules one by one, all to rebuild our dorms and wards...
I used to see frowns on everyone's faces, but over time they've flipped upside down.
We've been a little 'picky' with the construction work: We wanted the cafeteria, coffee shop, and even our beds to be just like what we had on the landship.
Those on us on break have even used our precious free time to help others still hard at work.
Our friends have chosen to help us, and so have the people we've helped before.
Everything we've done was to build 'Rhodes Island', our home, with our very own hands.
None of this would have been possible without each and every one of our dedicated operators.
And so...
On a day as special as this, I am honored to share this with you all: As of this very moment, our last mobile plate has been put into operation.
In other words, our new home, our new Rhodes Island, is finally complete!
Wha...
THRM-EX! Did you hear that? Amiya says Rhodes Island is complete!
Ohhhhh!
OHHHHH!
Ahhh! Please don't blow up!
Doctor! I-I finished the speech!
Mhm!
We did it, for real!
Um, Closure, are you crying?!
Geez! If I ever have to do anything like this again, I'm... I'm going to bill you three—no, ten times the entire Engineering budget!
Um, Closure!
Amiya opens up her arms.
...One hug's not enough!
Whoa...?!
Ah, we're losing our balance... Doctor!
The morning sun shines on the new Rhodes Island base plate.
Here and now, we have all joined hands to build a wonderful future.
